The North Carolina League Of Municipalities (NCLM) Is Seeking A Claims Assistant III. This Position Is Part Of The Claims Administration Team. This Role Provides 行政 Support In The Day-To-Day Processing Of Workers' Compensation Claims And Assumes The Lead 行政 Role In The Claims Department, 根据需要. This Is Accomplished By Receiving And Processing New Claim Reports, Investigation Of Workers' Compensation Injury Reports, Processing Medical Payments, Coding And Processing Vendor Bills, Assisting Members With Inquiries, And Providing Front Desk Coverage 根据需要. This Position Must Have Some Understanding Of The Workers' Compensation Statutes, Maintain An Adjuster's License, Begin The Investigation Of Workers Compensation Medical Claims Which May Include Taking Recorded And Written Statements, Reviewing And Understanding Medical Bills And Coding, Maintaining Adjusters' Activity Notes As Well As Other Documentation In The Claims System.
Additional Duties Include:
Provides 行政 Support By Paying Medical And Vendor Bills; Investigation Of Workers' Compensation Medical Claims; Setting Up And Processing New Claims; Assisting Members With Inquiries; Assisting Medical Only And Lost Time Adjusters As Assigned. Investigates Claims By Taking Recorded And Written Statements, Understanding Medical Coding And Terminology, Researching And Applying Applicable Workers' Compensation Laws; Maintaining Adjuster File Notes; Monitoring Diary; Identifying Potential Subrogation Claims; Completing And Filing NCIC Forms.
Minimum Qualifications:
Work Requires Knowledge Of A Specific 职业, 行政, Or Technical Nature That May Be Obtained With A Bacculareate Or Associates Degree Of Advanced Study Or 培训 From A College, 职业, 业务, Technical Or Correspondence School. Appropriate Certification May Be Awarded Upon Satisfactory Completion Of Advanced Study Or 培训.
Over One Year Up To And Including Three Years' Experience.
NC Adjusters License Or Obtain An NC Adjusters License Within 6 Months Of Hire.
